Good little story.

R.L. Stine used to be a favourite of mine when I was a kid - obviously through Goosebumps, which, looking back wasn't the most scariest of things ever - but I was a kid! It was scary enough then!

I found this book lying around in an old cupboard a few months ago and tossed it aside, thinking I'd read it. After reading a particularly emotional book already today I picked it up, looking for an easy read. It is an easy read, I'll give you that, but it has enough plot twists, thrills and a sound story line to make me keep turning the pages.

The only problem I had with it were the Pirahnas. After studying animals at college for 2 years and being told countless numbers of times that Pirahnas don't actually behave in the way most people think they do, I couldn't really take that part of the book seriously.

If you're looking for a fun, somewhat gory, thrilling read - just to wile away a couple of hours then this is a pretty good books for that! I certainly enjoyed it enough.
